Unfortunately, foreigners can’t legally elope in Spain until one partner possesses a legal residence for at least two years. Therefore, many couples opt to have civil ceremonies in their home country, followed by a symbolic ceremony in Spain. The weather in Spain is so mild that it remains dry most of the year. Still, I have figured out the best two seasons to elope – spring and fall. Both these seasons bring along good weather, plenty of activities, and minimal crowd. During the winters, the northern part of Spain gets snow, and the Southern part remains dry. On the other hand, the summers are very hot and crowded!

Typically, a budget-friendly elopement in Spain can cost you between $5,000 – $10,000. Whereas for a high-end elopement, expect to pay anywhere from $11,000 to $20,000.
