Wedding days aren't always 100% joyful or stress free. Sometimes you're missing someone important who was supposed to be there with you. Or maybe a pandemic happened and you're just wanting the day to be unique and special. It still CAN be. And you can absolutely be real and raw with me. I will make sure that the moments you want captured are captured. If I can be anything, I want to be a calming presence and someone steady so that you can enjoy your day. No matter what is happening around you, you're getting MARRIED! That's pretty amazing :)

THROUGH EVERY MOMENT

For me, any kind of posing (other than the formal photo for Grandma), is just a segue into a candid moment. I'm hardly ever concerned with if something "worked". I'm interested in you losing your mind with laughter, or getting emotional during a first look, because you can't believe how incredible your person looks. I'm interested in THOSE things. The moments where you didn't see your mom crying as dad gave you away. Or the view I have of your partner as you come down the aisle. That's where it's at.

We will talk through what you're envisioning for your portraits or wedding, how I can best capture who you are and what you're about, and the style of session you want, or what kind of wedding/elopement you're having. I want to make sure we are a perfect fit. Once we get all of the details sorted and the day booked, you can rest easy that one of the hard parts is over! Finding vendors can be so, so stressful. Say Hello

Step 1 of 5

You may not need an engagement session (or want one, it's up to you!), but in the event that you DO, it's a great way to get to know each other! Think of it as a practice round for your wedding day. Being in front of the camera is not easy or comfortable for lots of people, so any extra practice we have will only benefit you. These photos are great for Save The Dates, Invitations, Albums, Social Media...honestly you name it, they're good for it :) At the end of the day, there is zero pressure over here for you to do engagement photos. But if you think you'd like to hang out with me more than just the wedding day, I'm all yours!

Your Engagement Session

Step 2 of 5

You might be booking me last minute, or a year and a half in advance. I am pretty go with the flow, so I am down for literally anything anytime :) Regardless, once we have your date on the books, I have plenty of helpful tools to organize your photo timeline. It does NOT have to be a nightmare. We will get your family portraits sorted, your PDA comfort level, all of it. I want to be able to capture you in a way that is as natural, as styled, or as wild as you are :)

Keeping In Touch

I don't think there has been a wedding yet, where I didn't feel like I had become some kind of friend to my couple. As soon as I arrive at the venue, or wherever you're getting ready, my focus is on you. You two are my priority. I will make sure my gear is ready to start shooting at the planned start time, and I will always be checking in with you on where you're at: stressed, overwhelmed, needing help with something, etc. I always tell my families during wedding portraits, that "I'm not here to make friends", and it's pretty true :) I'm here for YOU and you only. This day is about what YOU want. And I will protect that as best I can, and capture it as authentically as possible. We are a team :)

The Wedding Day

Step 4 of 5

Every couple is different. So the amount of more posed photos vs totally candid always varies. What does not vary is how many photographs you can expect. I always guarantee at MINIMUM, 50-75 photos per hour of shooting for weddings and elopements. For portraits, you can choose the amount of images you'd like to keep. All of them fully edited by hand and hi resolution. You have your own Personal Print Release (print includes all the socials), and you have the opportunity to order prints, canvas, albums, any anything else your heart desires. I always double and triple check what is most important to you to have in your photos, and then I make sure I deliver all of that and more. For weddings, since I have little to no self control- and am always very excited once I get your photos uploaded- you'll get a text or an email with some sneaks! And probably more sneak peeks along the way, because I can't contain how excited I am about your photos :)

The Investment Details

Laramie was our wedding photographer for our Chicago wedding last summer along with her husband Dylan as her second-photographer, and the whole process was a dream! Where do I even begin?!
The planning process was smooth and stress-free. Laramie helped us organize family photo groups, portrait location spots, and recommended a schedule that made the entire day run like a well-oiled machine. She couldn't have made the process easier!
When the wedding day came, Laramie was the BEST to work with. She kept to her timeline, and organized our very large wedding party and family without a hitch. We loved how the photos felt organic, too. She really made sure we felt comfortable and the photos represented us as a couple. Best of all, we had so much fun! My husband hates taking pictures, and five minutes into the process he smiled at me and said, "Wow, this is the best experience. Laramie and Dylan are the best!" I could repeat the day over and over again and wouldn't change a single second or photo that was taken.
Now, onto the wedding photos... we were completely speechless when we received the sneak peaks, and then the full album came along. There are no words to describe how beautiful the images were. They were absolutely breathtaking. We receive compliments constantly on how good they turned out. Laramie and Dylan could not have captured the day more perfectly. We are forever grateful to have these memories for the rest of our lives!
