I. love. this. venue. If I continued to shoot larger weddings and they were all at the Woodruff Fontaine House, I would be happy. This location is so special, honoring history and educating the community on our roots. But it also welcomes people with open arms for elopements, weddings, and events, and the staff could not be kinder. A Woodruff Fontaine House Wedding is intimate, comfortable, genuine, and unique, and has made it onto this list of my favorite venues in Memphis. Can I get married inside the Woodruff Fontaine House Wedding Venue?

Not really :) You can have your ceremony on the grounds though! Woodruff Fontaine House does give you up to two hours inside the house for your wedding/elopement portraits, which is more than enough time to get some epic shots like these:

As for your getting ready, there’s an adorable little carriage house behind the mansion that has plenty of room for two separate getting ready parties, as well as a reception space downstairs. The Woodruff Fontaine House was obviously built for some rad parties, and we are grateful for it :) The groom’s room is very moody and perfect for a small group of guys to get ready together. For the bride and her girls (or if you’re eloping, these rooms are beyond perfect), the suite has mirrors, natural light, and closet space to hang your dresses. And incredibly cute furniture. We can’t forget the furniture…

Ceremonies & Receptions

Like I said, wedding ceremonies happen on the grounds at the Woodruff Fontaine House. So far I’ve only ever photographed ceremonies in the back. I’ve also seen ceremonies in front of the house! You do you boo. The back yard and garden is beautiful! So if you’re really into a victorian garden atmosphere, this is the spot to do it. I promise.

Don’t sleep on the Woodruff Fontaine House wedding venue! They are the GOAT. And they have so many options for where and how to do things at this venue, you won’t be disappointed.
