Chicago is an incredible city, and it’s a great place to throw an unforgettable wedding. But with so many venue options, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. So I’ve put together a collection of some of my favorite wedding venues. With a little something for everyone on the list! Whether you’re looking for an outdoor garden setting, a cozy industrial space, or an event room with spectacular skyline views, I’ve got some great options for Chicago wedding venues right here.
Skydeck isn’t just another venue with great city views. Located on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower, the second tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, it boasts views spanning over 50 miles. You can also add on the opportunity for your guests to experience The Ledge. A glass balcony that extends four feet outside of the Willis Tower for daring and dramatic views. Skydeck makes a great way to incorporate the best views in Chicago into your wedding. Create an event your guests will never forget!
A wedding at the Zhou B Secret Garden is a part romantic garden and part chic, upscale art gallery. Outdoors, you and up to 75 guests can enjoy incredible greenery, a beautiful pond, and contemporary art sculptures made by the famous Zhou Brothers. Exchange your vows outdoors and then dine amongst fine artwork in the pristine indoor gallery, or celebrate al fresco with your guests in this garden that feels like a true oasis amidst a busy city.
Celeste is a four-story social club that has become an homage to the classic American drinking establishment. Like something out of a glamorous 19th/20th-century coffee table book, walking into Celeste is like walking into a different era. Each of its four floors is designed to represent a totally unique space: Cocktail Bar, Deco Supper Club, Disco, and Garden. Every floor harkens back to the neighborhood’s industrial roots and features Victorian furniture, ironed detailing, and gold leaf ceilings with marble. It’s the perfect spot for a wedding with unique Great Gatsby vibes.
Loft Lucia, which translates into “Loft of Light,” is the perfect blend of urban chic, warmth, and brightness. Indoors, its exposed brick walls contrast with large, industrial windows that let in floods of natural light. The space seamlessly melds into a stunning rooftop terrace with high-end furniture and urban landscaping. Loft Lucia wedding venue also comes with the flexibility to bring in your own Chicago caterer for a truly customizable touch.
River Room at Burning Bush Brewery is a fully customizable event space with plenty of industrial charm. Their main space has slick cement floors and ceilings with exposed ductwork, contrasted with crystal light fixtures that add a touch of elegance. With huge windows and an overhead door that opens to look out over the Chicago River, it can become a great indoor/outdoor space. The deck is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony or a cocktail hour looking out over the river.
City View Loft is a beautiful event space with 13-foot timber ceilings and a customizable open-concept floor plan that can accommodate any wedding. With large windows that look out over picturesque views of the Chicago skyline, it’s a sophisticated, industrial space perfect for any Chicago-loving couple’s wedding venue. The room fills with warm sunlight during the day, and at night the twinkling skyline sets a romantic scene perfect for dancing and dining with your loved ones. For your ceremony, head one floor down to Kitchen Chicago, complete with a bridal suite, huge windows, and massively tall ceilings.
The Lytle House is perfect for an intimate wedding with up to 80 people. Host your ceremony in the courtyard in front of an ivy-covered wall, surrounded in a semicircle by your guests (most of whom will be standing, but there is select seating for those who need it.) Then, take the celebration indoors through an open overhead door that connects the Courtyard to the indoor space. Inside, you’ll find warm exposed brick, simplistic lighting, and a quaint space to entertain your guests as they dine and dance the night away.
Salvatore’s outside space is lush with gardens and beautiful landscaping, creating a green oasis in the middle of the city, perfect for romantic outdoor photos or a sweet ceremony amongst the flowers. Indoors, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into the coziest, most welcoming Italian restaurant. Choose to host your reception (or ceremony!) in one of their charming event rooms or beneath a large tent on the outdoor terrace. Dinner will be one of the most exquisite Italian meals you and your guests have ever had, matched with the city’s finest hospitality and service.
Colvin House is a historic Chicago mansion built in 1909 that has been restored to its former glory. An elegantly decorated interior is perfect for a dinner party wedding with a little vintage drama, and the exterior’s courtyard is a lovely space to decorate with your unique eye for design as a ceremony site. You can also seat up to 100 people on the first floor of the house, divided into several different rooms. So everyone to experiences the old-world glamor of old-town Chicago firsthand.
The Ivy Room wedding venue in Chicago is named for the exterior of the building. It features stories of brick covered in climbing ivy. Their beautiful courtyard, with views of the ivy and other lush, green landscaping, creates an intimate outdoor ceremony. Or for guests to mingle and socialize during cocktail hour. The room itself is a grand, customizable event space perfect for a grand celebration with your closest friends and family. The Ivy Room exudes style and sophistication, a hidden gem right here in the middle of Chicago.
